Name the one thing Y'shtola was good for, that no other character could replicate, that we would not have come up with an explanation for otherwise (bonus points if the explanation actually mattered for the endgoal anyway and wasn't just fluff to frame the event), and she didn't have to die for.

Y'shtola's really only there because she's one of our two resident magical experts, so she's there only out of necessity...and because she wants to find a way to return to the First because she wants to be with Runar.

You don't understand, if she returns to Runar, she can be written off and won't pop up anymore, since we can whittle down our magical expert to 1.
