Please focus on more "Quest Lines"

What I mean is, all of these one off quests are too shallow. The quests that I find to be enjoying, despite how short and lacking in overall context they are for what they relate to, are the class quests. Not so much because of an individual segment, but as a whole.

I think this is because I feel like I'm doing something important. It's like an SNL sketch vs an hour long tv show be it Fringe, NCIS, Game of Thrones. Sure the SNL sketch might be good, and it's much easier to have make several of them, but they lack the quality, substance, anticipation and imagination that comes with the format.

I want more quests in the game that are more like the current class quests, actual cut scenes, important matters to the games world, and story arcs, instead of just having that set up for the "important" quests (class, job, main, etc...).

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this maybe something for after the 2.0 launch. I seriously doubt they will make any real story/quests changes until after the 7th Umbral Era. Most likely they have thought of this, by the gods I hope they have at least, but, I hope to see some better story/questing options come 2.0.

Totally understandable. I'm not being sarcastic at all when I say this, but I wouldn't expect them to put out a lot of content like this just to throw it away or have to completely retool it for later.

I agree. There's still a lot of potential for the city-based quests, (at least what I've seen from the LL story) but who knows whether they're just going to trash it or not based on what's going to happen to the world.

Some of the sidequests do have followups, to be fair. It's just that a lot of them either have higher level requirements, were patched in after the initial quest, or aren't properly led into. Off the top of my head there's that whole Gridanian Opo-opo lover storyline that has a few different parts to it.

That said it would be nice to see some more quests that are larger in scope.

Yes more quest please...and get rid of that title side-quest...they are quest...no matter whether they deviate from the main story or not

Yeah true. Luckily, not really that far off from the new stuff when you think about how far we WERE this time last year lol. Have to wait and see.

I still think they lost a grand opportunity when they chose to neuter class guilds. Therein lies a great opportunity to give a memorable experience with quest chains, but not only has Yoshi ignored the opportunity, he chose to make them next to worthless by removing guild marks. Why even do the 3 measly class quests other than to say you completed them? They could have done so much more with guilds if only they chose to give them a little love. They still can.

Well... for incentive there's always the free xp & achievements like "Tales of the Hand," etc. However, I was quite a bit disappointed with how the stories just cut off, seemingly incomplete. Even the main scenario ended rather abruptly (imho.)

I want to find out if there might be a way to resurrect Niellefresne, or to finally let him decompose and rest in peace! Stupid dagger.

Yeah here's to hoping they haven't just ported the current quests over to 2.0 and said "good enough".

I think the beginner Inn quest is a perfect example of something that could have been fun but was totally wasted with a text heavy "walk over there" quest.

Given that this quest is going to be done by EVERYONE and its right at the beginning of the game, it needs to be better. As so many people have said about a great deal of this game's content, it needs to be memorable in a good way.

The first 10-15 levels are the games first impression on its players. If v2.0 is to succeed in growing the population of the game then this level of quality better be a thing of the past.

So like I said, here's to hoping.

PS. if you like Hildibrand then I guess its memorable for that but really the whole Hildibrand thing could be a lot bigger if the quests surrounding the character were that much more of a good gameplay experience. Obviously while mildly entertaining I don't consider them to be good examples of fun gameplay.
