We need Saul Goodman to protect players from unjustified ban/suspensions.

Read too many stories about people getting their account suspended. It's usually the sensitive bad player that doesn't press buttons that files the report after they got their feelings hurt when someone criticises them, and not even in a rude manner.

What's wrong with players being more direct? Why do FFXIV players have to weaponize passive aggressiveness in this game just so we don't get in trouble?

Like I can just imagine how Saul would protect it's players. Like a statement from him would be:

"Your honor, my client told the party to boot the tank because he was following the 'You Pull, You Tank' mindset and turned off his tank stance to grief the party. My client has lost their temper for a split second and called them an idiot in the chatlogs due to that tank's irrational behaviour!"

It would be amazing if everyone had a lawyer in this game. FFXIV should really just have a court system, since it would go well with the gaol system they have. When we get send to gaol, we have the right to know exactly what we did wrong and what the incident was, we explain our side, and the GM can put us on trial for this, then have the jury be a bunch of players who volunteer and will vote whether we're guilty or not.

Although this will never happen, because it's the perfect way to make enemies if you vote guilty on someone, the defendant will remember you forever and will witch hunt you for attempting to get them suspended. But this is just wishful thinking. I wish we had a better system for more justified suspensions. (No I've never been suspended, it's not the reason why I posted this, so keep dreaming.)

I think most of the people who got banned are lying or playing down what they actually did.
I went through the entirety of the mentor roulette mount farm and I called out people's mistakes all the time in there. Never got banned once.
As for your idea, I like it but considering square already seems to be lacking on GM's, I don't see it being possible as it would take up a lot more of their time. I'm all for more clarity on what was actually done to be reported though!

though there are times when one just cant hold it, under circumstances that may matter maybe abit too much to individual players.

But overall such situations are one sided.

for example a YPYT tank could be having a bad day, or just be under the effects of that toxic mentality. we cant really change their view unless they decide to or choose to change.
[Ive personally had to deal with it, <and Ive done each role, not in higher end content> but have run in the most content that the scenarios are prevalent, which is content with easy barriers of entrance. which most players<despite it being a meme> might just happen to be a skill issue. or a lack of team mentality or the minimum understanding of how players run.]

In short a repeat of what we as players general understand, but as usual, some players will go at each other here for misunderstandings, semantics, or slight variations between players that agree, and disagree with each other.
[Ive also Reported Players for myriad of things, but all justified on their levels of interaction. One in a A.R. who simply disagreed with opinions of the whole party. and they kept judging players gear. <while they pretended to be a fake elitist> once they kept going past a certain point. most of the party just gave up being civil, and stopped talking whilst I said I wasnt gonna Continue to speak, and just report later for it. they went silent and left immediately. right at the last Raid Boss.
Also had Trolly hypocritical DPS who in short trolled, and lead to the tanks, and their own death at the last dungeon boss. leaving me and the other dps to duo the boss.
and moments of Accidentally being told YPYT, which the majority are Accidental when you hear of players<and i bet many dont share>, but some players dont have control of themselves and lose it, or have a bad day.
Recent Example, a tank in 79-80 dungeon tank gets heated, says if they want another tank, they leave after a few words. and then the recruiting members start, healer leaves shortly after. So me and the other dps wait, we get a new tank who was much more cheery, and a healer who joked about "where their day drinkers at" we went on to complete the dungeon. only wiping once cause we werent prepared for one extra pack. but everyone went on well.
In the end its largely a case of a persons bad experience will always mar a persons perspective of the person. vilifying despite not knowing anything of how the person truly is. <which I can understand very well how some may perceive that. not from vilifying others, but always questioning from others misconceptions>

Your honour, my client really didn't mean to have so much Namazu Bean stew that morning - but you do have to admit it's tasty - and he'd had a bad day of dealing with snobby elites in Satasha expecting a macro, strat, and perfect rotation with pot use. He stood on the 1 marker for the opening and closing shell, instead of the 2 marker and the elites just lost it. Well, he snapped, as any good man would, and that fart was enough to kill both his party and even the final boss, while still near the fireflies.

I find that the response to toxic behavior tends to be toxic. Doesn't make either party more right or less wrong.
