Linux isn't really till something to look at till AMD and to an lesser extent Nvidia provides better support for openGL in linux.

amd supports openGL they even make linux drivers nivdia supports some open gl as well but they do very little with linux.. But because linux is holding more of market now they will have step up or be left out of those systems such as touch pad pc
