I think Final Fantasy XIV should be ported over to Linux sometime after 2.0. Why? There are very few games made to work with it without the need of another program to emulate it. It would open up the opportunity to get more players in the game!

Do you guys think there is a chance of Square Enix doing this?

If anything i would think they would be more likely to make it for Mac OS before they would consider Linux. Other than mobile and Servers (which the game would not be ideal if even feasible) the market share on desktop/laptops is trivial even compared to Mac.

Mac OS is just a port of UNIX, just like Linux. If they make a Mac Version they probably wouldn't need to make a Linux port, as the Mac version could easily be adapted to linux.
