Gaming isn't the only thing I do on my PC that sucks on linux. Try getting two MIDI interfaces and two soundcards working in Linux, in a single application. I'll tell you the outcome right now, it ain't gonna happen.I would say if there are more games on linux there would be more gamers, if you didn't have to pay for your os and it did everything you wanted. Wouldn't you use that over something that cost 200 bucks? They do pretty much the same thing?
The port really wouldn't be all that hard I'm sure the ffxiv engine for the ps3 uses OpenGL.
I don't care if it launches on linux for 2.0 but in the future after SE is turning a profit it wouldn't be a bad thing.
