    Alright! It's time to stop buffing Gunbreaker! No more! Quit it!

    I don't want to see any more buffs! Please no more buffs. I'm very happy with it. I'm not gonna say it's broken, because I'm scared the dev team will hurt my new main after they nerfed red mage like the black sheep it is in PvP mode.

    Once more people catch onto how cracked this GNB is, I don't want them nerfing it to oblivion. It's in a good state right now. More than good actually. The only reason why it had a lower win-rate in the statistics was because people couldn't figure how the most efficient playstyle for it (which I won't tell, go figure it out yourself).

    I'd say the downsides to Gunbreaker is just like its PvE counterpart, it's a very janky job. Junction should not function the way that it does and base on who your opponents are. You should be able to pick what junction you want, whenever you want. This still needs a change.

    GNB has been overpowered for a while now. I think it's held back in CC by limited swapping opportunities, but that isn't really an issue in FL and RW and unsurprisingly it's straight S tier in those environments. GNB is tied with PLD for tankiest tank in tank stance and is basically a slightly less one-trick MNK in DPS stance, and healer stance is fantastic for games where attrition is the name of the game. Being able to swap between all three depending on what's needed is extremely strong and is the largest part of why GNB is overpowered. If they ever changed D&J to allow on-demand stance swapping, GNB would become the new BLM overnight.

    It's just Square proving they're not equipped to run an actually competitive circuit. Their method of balancing/tweaking things has largely been based off of popularity or perceived strength, not actual math. DotA had a problem with this for a while, too.

    If there's no tank on the enemy team in CC then GNB is just gonna get nuked over and over again. The core problem with them is straight up the junction system. That said, their dps junction can be pretty bursty and it doesn't need a buff in that regard.

    GNB in DPS stance is only a little less tanky than MNK. MNK also lacks any sort of mitigation and is pretty much entirely reliant on burning dash charges for a personal shield or a really shitty personal Macrocosmos that doesn't even pop automatically. GNB lacks a mitigation button or the shields, but No Mercy basically means permanent 20% healing up as long as you're fighting, which is... actually pretty strong. Especially since MNK leaves themselves open to being kited if they spam out their charges to keep refreshing the shield (and a lot of MNK's utility is also in giving those shields to others.) MNK is tankier, but not *that* much moreso.

    Maybe they could give GNB a nerfed Nebula available at all times and tank stance buffs it? But they'd absolutely have to walk back a lot of the potency and No Mercy buffs since then if they did that.

    Personally i'm way more worried about MNK than GNB. MNK is on crack in comparison and it will actually murder you

    MNK can almost be ignored between Meteodrives, though. Especially since the combo timer is so short. If you can force them to guard or disengage when they're coming up on Phantom Rush they lose a ton of damage. GNB just kind of goes HAHA, DAMAGE! and there's not much you can do about it. Hell, you can't even really kite them since they get sprint from No Mercy...
