    Concerning glamours

Has it ever been mentioned whether glamours (and other similar illusory magicks, I suppose) have a tactile element to them, or are they simply visual?

If, for example, some patrolling Garlean conscript happened to take a break on one of the glamoured rocks barring entrance to Rhalgr's Reach from the Fringes, would he actually sit on said rock or simply pass through it as though it weren't there?

Or say, with the sylphs, at least two of whom transform themselves into Midlander models. Were someone to bump into Noraxia while she was wandering about in her humanoid form, would they meet contact with the whole body or simply the approximate body mass that a sylph would take up?

It's a good question, but not one I think has ever been answered officially, at least not that I can find.

Some of things glamoured beings like sylphs do would look impossible in their normal bodies, though, so I would lean toward a tactile element, like the solid holograms in Star Trek's holodeck.

The prisms, at least, just bend light. So your gear isn’t physically there.
Illusionary magicks however do seem more physical.

Imps also do illusions I'd call glamours in various leve quests. To me, they seem to take up the space of w/e mob they are glamoured as in those until they are forced to transform back.

Also, Amaurot seems pretty solid, but is actually built on ruined shells with gaping holes in them. Though, I'm not sure how to count the magic behind it for this discussion. Hades' Amaurot is proof that glamours at least *can* be solid. Whether non-ancients can imitate that, even on a smaller scale, is still a question, though.

Probably varies based on the glamour in question

That refers to the level of detail though.

Sometimes illusions can work with mind manipulation as well. So in the case of the slyph, you would think you had bumped into them when you hadn't.

Or the garlean sitting on glamour rocks would be doing mad squats while thinking he was sitting and wonder why his legs are sore afterward.
