How the hell do people drink Fantasia?

Consumed a Fantasia a few weeks ago to become a Miqo'te, mostly because I was getting turned down for RP because I was a Lalafell.

3 hours later, had to go back to my Lalafell. I had absolutely no connection to the new character. None. I looked at her in cutscenes, and I just got sad because she wasn't mine. She was an imposter.

I made one of my retainers look exactly the same as my old Lalafell, but that just made me even sadder.

So, yeah. Two fantasias in the span of three hours.

Yet, I see people dropping Fantasias like they're sick beats.

People I know are changing their race/look every week.

Do you guys not have personal connections do your characters?

Vel has been a Hrothgar, a Viera, an Elezen, a male Mi'quote, a male Viera, a Roegadyn...so I like to test out new looks and ideas, I have maybe 20 saved as prototypes. Looks arent the defining factor.

I mostly fantasia my raid alt if I want to try out anything new since I don't really care about how they look. Too attached to how my main looks to ever really fantasia them.

I think they right click them, and hit use, take off all their armor then go to the character select screen

Personally I cannot stand & also cringed greatly at anyone obsessed with constant fantasia-ing without disrespecting.

I had a friend whom will race & name change constantly on a weekly basis & it got tiring.

Fantasia is perhaps one of the most marketing smart $$$ grab from SE & it cannot be shunned nor appraised.

I value my avatar greatly & had indeed built a personal connection with my Elezen which is far worthwhile without regrets.

Each to their own, each to however they wish to drain their pockets from it.

I still have that free Fantasia stowed away. Might use it if they ever add new voices (maybe in the revamp), but that's it. It's just weird sharing voices with a Miqo'te.

I think you just proved you're the more serious role-player.

Honestly, I don't know how people do it. I've only used the free ones to correct things that I considered mistakes. To each their own.

I don't get it either. I used the free Fantasia to slightly alter my character's skintone and that was it. I will always be a Miqo'te.

Honestly it's always weirded me out that people just pay for a fantasia every couple of weeks or whatever. Whatever floats your boat but... eh, not my thing.

I've fanta'd three times. From miqo to au ra when they were released, and then to hrothgar, and then to change my hroth's hair color because that was FOR SOME REASON A THING. I had no connection to my miqo or au ra, like, at all, but hrothgar was what saved it for me.
