im a wow refugee. left shadowlands endgame for FF14 as i hated that more than i do japanese games. not by much but by enough. fast forward to the last few weeks, i got dragonflight thinking "ooooo look forward to stepping back into wow because ive missed this, that, blah blah" ..... i think ive done about 5 quests and am not looking forward to the dungeon with toxic dungeon speed runners therefore i came back to FF14 (having not done the 1st dragonflight dungeon) and feel real a sense of enjoyment being back in my FF bubble. i just didnt know i had one until i had left it. FF14 has such an accessible core content and endgame with an amazing community that i missed it as soon as i left.

Well I for one am happy you feel that way.

I heard Dragonflight has been hitting the ballpark in almost every way from a lot of people though. Dare I say, could be better than Endwalker? I cant say since I havent played it but the features and questing and talents and junk sounds fun.

While EW isn’t faring any better, you cannot deny either FFXIV still stands strong as there is more to it than just “dungeon, weekly etc.,” to it.

OP if it makes you feel any better... yeah DF is decent so far, at least the questing part. First dungeon was alright, second dungeon... ugh. Second dungeon is *massive*, it's so big you have to use the dragonriding mounts to get around. I am NOT looking forward to that in heroic/mythic. Absolutely not.

Third dungeon is also huge, but without dragon riding and with added mobs that spam fear on the party and cause you to aggro a bunch of other mobs, which are all tightly packed together so if you step slightly out of place here comes three or four more mobs. Gonna also be a miserable dungeon in heroics/mythic...

I left WoW a while back, mostly because it was more of a job than entertainment, and really, they stopped earning my money

The important thing is as long as you are enjoying the game, you can ignore a lot of the forums. after all, thats what games are for... enjoyment. ^^

Glad you are enjoying playing FF14. I personally am having a blast with DF after leaving wow for 4 or 5 years to come back to FF14. I will say I have been playing pretty much all the open world stuff so far but I might try and convince some friends to try out heroics with me and maybe try out some low key mythics.
