Feedback for Game around Christmas time.

Hello! Can the dev team please consider Christmas jingles of the city themes for the BGM of the three cities?

One of my favorite memories from XI was coming into Jeuno and listening to the Christmas BGM in it. It made the city feel so warm (figuratively) and festive. Thank you!

I think if they address this, they might feel compelled to address the other event music. I think I like them all better in their own spaces.

Jeuno's Christmas theme in FFXI was so cheesy I tried to avoid the place at Christmas time if I could help it for that reason (partially because it was too cheery and bombastic, not helped by Naoshi Mizuta's usual screeching synthetic strings), so I'm kind of glad we don't have that here in FFXIV (FFXIV's Christmas event theme Starlight Festival by Nobuo Uematsu only plays around Mhi Khetto's Ampitheatre in Gridania and in areas where event npcs are in the other two cities, so it's far more limited and nowhere near as annoying as FFXI's track).

The FFXIV theme is much more softer and subued so it really fits the mood of the game in general and the basic lore behind the Christmas event especially, as the Starlight Festival usually has a sombre or poignant undertone to it (I presume there is also technical challenges changing the entire city zone's music to something else other than the pre-programmed day and night themes, especially as certain sections of each zone often have their own unique music play when in that vicinity).

Not that I would hate it if Soken did change it, but it's not something I see SE particularly regarding as necessary.

Hmmm it wasnt like that in XI, Christmas just somehow seems bigger than most, maybe the moonfire may be a close second. The weather def doesn't change for most events like it does during starlight. I think X-mas can be its own thing.

I really liked the FFXI Jeuno Starlight Celebration track. I thought it was a great addition to the game. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing something like that in FFXIV.

Would also appreciate if the housing districts are not limited to 24/7 snowing weather as well, which gets rather depressing.

We already had Empyreum for that for players who like that aesthetic but forcing it on other districts is just urgh. I don't mind the Christmas themed decorations, just not the 24/7 snowing weather.

Except we didn't have Empyreum for that in the past. It was just opened this year. The other districts have always had the light snow falling during Starlight.
