I still don't think that's going to fix the root problem with the heads on those races, but we'll see. That's still over a year out.
I have never said I expect them to fix all headgear. I expect headpieces coming out after their release to be functional, or at least from EW on. That's *not an unreasonable demand*, unlike you and others' victim blaming (how DARE we be interested in the races Square puts out!). Get off your high horse that you like to ride all the time here for once in your life. We're not expecting the world. We're expecting a basic function in the game we are paying for.Sorry, not sorry, but you had it coming. You talk about not foreseeing anything, the players are much worse.
With each update, there are more pieces of headgear that can't be worn. It's an every growing pile that's never going to be touched. Do you really expect them to just churn out an update where all the headgear works?
A lot of players seem to lose sight that Viera, and particularly the soon-coming female Hrothgar are because of player feedback. Does it really matter which language got through? Yoshi has English/Japanese speaking people all around him. If he wants to know what the English forums are saying, he can definitely find out.Im curious, since it seems they don’t listen to our feedback for years now, I wonder if they bring it to their attention as well or if it is just us. I can imagine that IF Yoshi P reads the forums from time to time, it will be the japanese ones since I don’t think Ive ever seen him speak english.
Is there anyone here that speaks both languages and is active in both forums?
Correction: You will not shut up until they comply. You should ask yourself this question: "Would you rather not have Viera/Hrothgar in the game at all?" I advise this because they did not have to release these races. They are purely cosmetic, and releasing them in their incomplete state has only led to more problems than they had when players were just asking for the Viera. And now instead of being able to focus on creating actual new content, they have to deal with a frothing playerbase.Yes I know there’s a million threads about Viera/Hrothgar hats, and I don’t care, Ill not shut up until they listen. Yes I know I can play another race but I want to play Viera and we deserve hats as much as the rest of you.
You do not have to play another race. Only if you want access to more headgear. Trust me, they know players are demanding for these races to be complete. Banging a bucket down a narrow hallway is not going to make them shift their priorities. You should be more than well aware that they are currently working on female Hrothgar. Until this race is released, completing the others is at best - on the backburner.

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
I wish they would lay out why making hats work on Hrothgar and Viera is so impossible for them. Is it the extra work load? The placement of the ears? Why not hide the ears under the headgear like they do to Miqo'te now, since they obviously don't care anymore?
Of course, I don't want that to happen. I just want clarification from the devs, not half-baked excuses.
I'm genuinely confused by the poor quality they've been dishing out lately.

Given that we already have ridiculous-looking clipping on many items i don't know why they don't just let the ears clip through the hat, it's not like they don't already have really obvious clipping elsewhere on every single player model. My goddamn legs clip through the High House Bustle's skirt when sprinting, and that model's been in the game since like... Heavensward. My chin/hair clips through multiple tops, my hands clip through a lot of models at rest, I could go on with more. I would rather have my ears visible on my catgirl alt and have it look kind of dubious rather than having one of her defining traits totally removed.
Oh man, I read that comic years ago XD
...or is it a Graphic Novel?
I always love the "I got mine jack" mentality of nonhv players, truly. "You don't have to play another" okay well you're "everything is handed to me on a silverplatter" race is just saying that because you don't care.

You don't care that players are getting less, you don't care that a company that released these races 10 years after ARR became a smash hit is treating the players badly, and you don't care that players want these races to not perpetual beta races and that is why they are stuck in beta. Because all the nonhv players could give a dang, the devs have sat on their thumbs for 3 years.
"I want new content" its almost as if new content drops every patch cycle you get to enjoy the full benefits of wow. Hrothgar and viera havent gotten to enjoy the full breadth of every patch for 3 years because of the overwhelming "well they said limited mehmehmehmehmeh" response from people who don't play these races.
And "until they comply" ok so what are hv players holding the dev teams families hostage or something? They made the races, they should make them complete. Its really that simple, no need for "well what about MEEEEEEEE" from players who get their monies worth from every patch cycle, who always know all the new gear will fit them, every new hair option will work, and its not a guessing game which hair they'll get this patch, if any (note hrothgar are still 2 patch cycles behind viera because thats super cool and fair of the devs)
I just really don't think its asking the world of the devs to make brand new stuff work for hrothgar or viera but god almighty the playerbase acts like we may as well be asking the designers to be chained to their desk and die at their computer to make it work.
The day 6.1 dropped within 3 hours of patch releasing a mod was put out to put ears on the tragic hair treatment hrothgar was given for the first time.
3 hours.
I have to assume that between april 1st and april 11th there was plenty of time they could spend on making sure hrothgar didn't get earless wigs, especially after the overwhelmingly negative response to the liveletter. But no, hrothgar had to wait until 6.2 to use these options. And those were the only options we still have. Viera got Rainmaker, a hair option everyone was begging to get added back into the game, and a bozjan hairstyle, which the native race of bozja still cannot wear, because adding ear meshes was just so taxing I guess.
This is exactly why every new head piece that won't show on hroths and viera seems lazy and bad design. Putting a bit more work to gear shouldn't be a problem.Sorry, not sorry, but you had it coming. You talk about not foreseeing anything, the players are much worse.
