Raiding and my FC.
Raiding and my FC.

1. I love the community. Not being facetious, Im genuinely curious to hear why people still play FFXIV despite the myriad of problems.
For me its:
1. Mostly because I have grown sentimentally attached to my WoL characters, so I enjoy playing them and coming up with all sorts of stories to fit with a personal headcanon aka. I like this game's world and lore a lot.
2. Im a filthy controller user, always have been, always will be, and not a lot of MMOs out there have a comfortable and intuitive setup for playing with one. So coming into FFXIV and being able to play with my PS4/PS5 controller on PC is a huge boon for why I enjoy physically playing this game, when it comes to combat, navigating menus and traveling around
3. Doing group content is extremely easy imo. As someone whom doesnt generally play online multiplayer games, FFXIV made me like the concept and its overall a comfortable experience where the game's difficulty is very casual friendly and doesnt require a ton of effort to clear.
4. The music
2. I enjoy the jobs that I play. Mainly Ninja.
3. The story is amazing. Well crafted.
4. The soundtrack is full of bangers.

For starters, I don't view my time online as dealing with a myriad of problems. I acknowledge the game is not perfect, but ultimately see it as enjoyable, otherwise I wouldn't play it and support it.
There is definitely an emotional attachment to the game, my character, and the community.
I enjoy learning something new, and seeing myself go from green to veteran as I gain more experience with that content. FFXIV consistently provides this.
I can express and exhibit creativity be it glamour, UI set up, decorating, or finding ways to maintain uptime during fights. There is a lot of fruit to be harvested for an open minded player.
Scenery, music, seeing and experiencing players having fun. I could list more, but will stop there.
Because Ragnarok Online is dead. Not being facetious, Im genuinely curious to hear why people still play FFXIV despite the myriad of problems.

4. The music
1. Story
2. Jobs
3. Lore
4. Gameplay
5. Waifus
1. A little bit of sunk-cost fallacy.
2. This and other mmo's are easy ways to play with my family when I'm stationed outside of the country.
3. Variety is the spice of life

1. Have friends in the game, and want to catch up with them all the time
2. because it's final fantasy, i love FF games
3. RAID (shadow legends), it's easier than wow
