And then put the list in a Duty List HUD, it's like making your own quest.

Especially in Island Sanctuary. I know you can keep a track how much you need to gather for workshop, but what if you want to do workshop while also want to create new facility/landmarks when you're still leveling

Shopping list / recipe calculator websites with extensive, robust, and intuitive features exist outside the game and I don't trust the UI team to come up with an in-game solution that is even half as good as what's already available.

I agree, they would either straight up copy what already exists or they would have to retread a well explored path of innovations. Time that could be spent on more productive ideas.

There's already a recipe tree and raw materials list for normal crafting on single items. As mentioned above, there are sites to handle anything more complex. Adding that kind of functionality to the game might be possible, but it would definitely be more limited and potentially cumbersome.

For island, you can easily look at the list and type it in chat somewhere. You generally need no more than 5 items to make anything.

I would really like a right-click option for an "add required materials to shopping list" sort of thing.

This exists already on the Crafting as a Service website but in game would be nice too. Just a suggestion for an alternative in the meantime that everyone can use.
