Subject line is curious, is it not? So here's my proposal..

I know that when Yoshi-P took over, they basically took all of the former Director's plans and tossed them, essentially rebuilding the game from the very basics and up, tweaking, erasing, but ultimately redoing every aspect of the game as it were before.

But, my thing is this. Despite how much of a bomb the game turned out to be when it did release, it did involve a lot of time and dedication for the people who worked on it. Many developers spent weeks, months and years? Into the original XIV project. I'd actually hate to see their contributions to the creative world just thrown out.

I'd like to see a book, concept art of the original XIV as it was and things that were planned that never got implemented and never will, from the former Director's vision. And on the other half of this book, we see Yoshi-P's vision, the concept art for the things to come, or things that have already been given.

Yoshi-P has done an amazing job pulling the team around towards his new goal. But Yoshi-P doesnt do it all, either. There are several developers that contribute and get overlooked. I would say this could be a way for players, who appreciate the game, or the series as a whole, to keep a piece of their hard work and trials and not let the effort be wasted.

Thoughts?
