Please increase the buff cap to at least 40

I don't know if it's because P12S isn't affected by the buff limit increase or because they reverted the buff limit increase to fix the bug but I'm encountering the buff overcap issue.

In both of these clips I did not receive Ogi Namikiri Ready after using Ikishoten. You can see Ogi Namikiri is never highlighted and the Ogi Namikiri Ready buff never appears next to my Meikyo Shisui buff.

Yeah this one is quite the doozy. I'm sure they'll get it fixed soon enough and it does seem to be a bit random and not widespread. I'm been chuckling at the one or two videos and screenshots I've seen.

Yeah, one posted on Reddit had some interesting things. One DNC without a DNC buff but half the rest of the party having it, BRD buffs on the party despite no BRD being in the party, and a WHM with Formless Fist and Surging Tempest about to go ham after having taken entirely too much of everyone's poop, lol

Thank you for your post! Indeed, it was reported in the Reddit thread that tested the cap raise that it was reversed by the morning of the 6th of October. It was probably done alongside the Meikyo Shisui fix, but strangely enough SE has not acknowledged neither the bug nor its reversal.

I hope that they will keep testing it and implement it later on but posts such as yours show that this raise is very important for the game as a whole, which is why I initially advocated for it. In the meantime, try to avoid FC buffs when doing duties like these, especially if you're partnered with a DNC.

Yes, it was reverted because of the bug where players were getting random buffs in the extra slots. SE probably isn't talking about it because either it's an experimental feature that wasn't meant to be in the live servers in the first place or they don't want to raise too much hype about an experimental feature. Either way, it's not unusual for SE to test these sort of things in .5 patches, because there's no competitive content in it. It had a major bug, so it was reverted for now while it's being fixed.

The fact that there is a personal buff/debuff limit in 2022 is ridiculous. Blame the terrible engine / spaghetti code IDC.

There's been no news about this since the October bug. I hope they're still working on it and implement it on Dawntrail. The buff cap will be more and more prevalent then and particularly in Exploratory Zones.
