    In my experience, Second Wind is good. When it used to be a cross-class skill it wasn't good and wouldn't heal for hardly anything, but they fixed it when making it a Role Action.

    But the potency of heals have always felt like they get weaker in each expansion, so it's possible it has become weaker over time.

    At most it could use a teeny bit of a buff but tbh I'd rather slightly better healing potions so I can use them in conjunction with it and to give alchemists something else to craft.

    It does the same thing it's always been designed to do. Heal a small amount to save you from raid wides / one auto attack (Like an infinite potion with a cooldown).

    I remember it used to have its potency adjust based on your attack power. That meant whenever your burst came up, at least if you had JAs that increased damage, it would increase the healing on Second Wind... I guess the idea being that made you took a hit and are about to get sledged by a raid wide or something.

    Honestly though, they could make a 60 second cooldown without breaking anything. It wouldn't suddenly give DPS a leg up against tanks or healers. It'd just be nice QoL.

    Definitely not useless. Definitely doesn't need some sort of crazy overhaul. Just a timer reduction.

    Second wind isn't supposed to be a big heal. It would be broken if it was. The way it is now as a small buffer heal is perfectly fine. Its saved my ass on multiple occasions where a healer is down or low mp and cant get heals out. Without second wind I'd have died from the raid wide aoe.

    it needs a cd reduction for sure. 60s should be fine. and ffs give the physical range bloodbath.

    prolly never happen though. the devs don't care. they don't play Physical Ranged. just like they don't play Healers.

    The whole point of SW and Bloodbath is to let melees stand in the bad a little bit longer. They both work fine and neither needs to go to ranged.

    Ranged already have Second Wind. And the idea of melee needing the extra healing to stay close has kinda gone out the window lately with hit boxes expanding so much.

    Why is that ridiculous? I'm curious what you think Second Wind is for? It's not a self-sustain meant for you to solo (old) group content if that's what you try to do. And normal solo duty also never need Second Wind.

    It's an emergency heal for when thing goes wrong. And if you have things go wrong more than once every 2 minutes ... I don't think the issue lie with Second Wind.

    You'd have to lower its potency with a 60s CD. Its an emergency heal and its fine the way it is. If you need it more often than every 2 minutes the fight is already going bad anyways.
