    Increases 'potency' of critical hits?

    Serpent Sergeants Circlet - INT+10 HP75%~or lower Increases potency of critical hits.


    I dont understand if there is a typo on SE's item incase they forgot to put increase magic potency.......or if it is another way of saying critical attack power+.

    I'm hoping to have this item for my MNK.....but I dont want to buy it if it's not any good?


    Can anyone shed some light?

    Maybe it applies to both Magic and Melee crits hits.

    I really wish SE implemented advanced tooltips for stuff like this... Some precise numbers or percentages would be nice instead of just "this increases that".

    It doesn have increase potency + "numbers", OP jsut didn't add it.

    So no definitive answer? +50 doesnt mean anything......I just would like to know if its worth wearing instead of the generic STR+ DEX+ Attack+ Acc+ gear

    Imo it's not really worth it if you are decreasing damage on regular hits in order to increase your crit potency. Bear in mind that average crit rate is less than 10%. So in other words, if you are decreasing your normal hits by 20 dmg on average, and not making it up with +200 additional dmg on crits (actually 200 is probably low considering the average crit rate), then it isn't worth it.

    Because the average player's crit rate is so low, it's usually better to focus on attack power or m.attack power than crit attack or m.crit attack. With crit rate, every 10 points = 1% increase I believe.
