You can definitely see the difference up to 60fps for an average person >_>You only need 30fps for a smooth game-play experience for an average person.
If a game is capable of doing more than 30fps, then in my opinion it is not taxing the hardware enough.
Anything above 30 is basically a waste.
So if their optimization means stuffing as much stuff as they can onto the screen while maintaining 30fps, hats off to them.
They'll get there though.
Both.So it's 15% optimized. Goes against that other articles translation that said graphics would get about 15% better

15% optimized and getting around 30FPS? lol that means when they get it done we can have a 60fps for the people who want to play the game at 60fps i have my ffxiv set as 30 because i can't tell the diff llol

I really want to see what's going to happen when you have multiple characters to load, large crowds in certain areas and so on. Generally what happens is the bigger and more crowded the area, the greater stress it puts on the servers. Hence why areas like Whitegate in the hayday of TAU and Jeuno were prone to lag.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

I'm interested about what games the developers are playing. It tells about what they've considered adding into the game. Like when Yoshi-P played Skyrim, I think the exploration and world might take the same feeling. Who knows.

yes but when i played ffxi with a powerful computer and edit the ffxi files so i could play at even higher setting with more DD i had no lag in whitegate when there was a lot of players and i could load them all and besieged was more fun with a good PC. So if you had a good enough pc with SDD and all that good stuff i'm sure you could play this game with 3 TV in 3D without much lag at great FPS.I really want to see what's going to happen when you have multiple characters to load, large crowds in certain areas and so on. BREAKING NEWS: Yoshi doesn't have time to play Diablo.

Yes... this is what I am most interested in right now. Is the new website going to be added to the SE page like "FFXIV Baseline" or is it a separate site? Are we going to get passwords to log into Beta or will our current accounts log in? The whole mechanics thing is so totally up in the air and it is so close to launch of Alpha. Bursting with questiuons.

I think the most interesting bit I took from that interview is how confident he is in the amount of content there will be with 2.0's launch. I wonder how long the new content will last a current player..a few months? That's about the normal time between major content patches in other MMOs.
