Well, I just went to Cedarwood last night and TRIED to do leves there. It seems that they are doing Faction Leves that involve a lot of sheep and 2 wolves. That's all they do. I was trying to fight the monsters for my Leve and my game was lagging like crazy; my character was fighting but not do any animations, but numbers were popping up from damage dealt and taken. Then this evening, my game glitched and froze from having so many characters moving on my screen (the monsters and the RMTs running around). Mind you people, I have 8GB of RAM on my laptop, my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 555M GT with 3GB of RAM on it, and it's a Sandy-Bridge i7 processor. I know the game won't lag due to my game's setup but do to the game's own graphics engine.
Seriously SE, RMTs need to be stopped from farming before Version 2.0 . Ul'dah doesn't give me lag, but doing these Leves with these people running around do!![]()
There were so many at Cedarwood, that I ended up crashing. Every thing was so laggy around this node, I ended up sliding across the ground instead of walking.
This is ridiculous and they should end it now before 2.0 starts...
I agree. The worst thing was making the Goobbue mount available to ANYONE. This has caused the RMTs to use it for running around since they are too lame to get into a GC and get a Chocobo. I really wish a Mod would see that this is a problem.
As I mentioned, the RMTs are doing this in anticipation for Version 2.0 as they know it's going to change everything, and they want a monopoly on money with it.
ya hopefully they will ban then just before 2.0 by they they wont need their money that they pay a month.
Ban them for what reason? Farming gil? They will be banned when they will start selling (i.e. : violating the ToS). This isn't Minority Report and the STF isn't Pre-crime.
At best only botters could be banned now.
I'd rather like SE let RMT sell their gil, identify all gil buyers and then ban both. Buyers will be too disgusted to come back into the game (it's like tossing money out the window if you get banned right after paying for gil). RMTs? Who care they will always be back no matter how many time you ban them.
Hurting their customers is a way better approach than hurting RMTs.

I think that's the best method. Let them have their fun. Then when they start to sell, SE can trace them and shut down their business. At least for right now we can identify them for the GMs. Although I couldn't get ahold of a GM for thisBan them for what reason? Farming gil? Hurting their customers is a way better approach than hurting RMTs.I was going to contact one because of the insane lag they were giving me in that general area. Hey, I'm trying to level there too, and I'm NOT going to that underground Aetheryte in the area near Bloodshore...that place is the pits, but I get insane performance increase there. It's just that the underground tunnel areas are too risky.
While it might seem to many of you that we are not combating RMT related activity at camps like Cedarwood and other places, please rest assured that the operations and STF teams are proactively looking into this and performing thorough investigations. And to give you more insight of their investigations, we banned 700 accounts last week, but as you know they keep coming back.
In addition to ongoing STF efforts, we will be setting up countermeasures system wise as we head towards version 2.0. If you happen to notice any suspicious activity in your adventuring, please take a moment and help us out by making an STF report by going here: http://support.na.square-enix.com/co...hp?id=902&la=1

Just send a certain Coeurl to kill them all, and there won't be any RMT remaining anymore. While it might seem to many of you that we are not combating RMT related activity at camps like Cedarwood and other places, please rest assured that the operations and STF teams are proactively looking into this and performing thorough investigations.
