Over 3 million XP in 15 minutes!

Level 81 PLD: Decided to try the Arkasodara tribe quests in Thavnair. I was surprised to see they offered a bit over one million XP for each of the 3 daily quests. It got me from halfway through 81 to 82. If you're leveling a new battle class job, head there as soon as you hit 80 if you've already unlocked their quests on another job.

There used to be multiple beast tribes for battle classes, but they decided to change it so that one is for battle classes, one is for gatherers and one is for crafters. The experience was of the single beast tribe was increased to make up for that and it's increased even more if you reached the max rank.

It is a very good option if you want to avoid doing content with a certain class because you find it hard to play.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.

Yeah, it's a good way to level some jobs. I used it on SCH/SMN since I find them both deathly boring.

It's also a good gateway into crafting for those that aren't sure about it. I almost exclusively leveled my crafters from 1 through 70 with just beast tribes. Gave me basic knowledge, especially since the Ixal require some HQ items to be crafted - unless they did any changes since I did that.

I did that as well and I did it while still in ARR gear. You can actually get away with that.

It actually got a lot easier, the buffs that you get at the crafting stations (that you need to have active to do the Ixal crafts) used to actually be relevant, as at one point (sometime before Stormblood, I barely played during HW so I'm not sure if they took them out in 3.0 or 4.0) they gave you limitations that you had to work around while still HQ'ing the item.

It makes a fun way to level crafting - if you also craft your own crafting gear sets on the way up, between that, the tribal quests, the crafting log/challenge log exp, the class quests, and a few Collectables here and there later on, you can get most of the way up barely having to touch guildleves at all, which lets you save them for higher level stuff and for getting picky materials (like Pudding Flesh, which is almost impossible to acquire now outside of Alchemy leve rewards or combat retainer ventures), not to mention avoid being slowed down by the painfully slow leve allowance recharge.

Yep, I use tribes, daily hunts, and trusts (if I'm not sick of them) to level tanks because I'm not comfortable tanking for randos. Easiest way to level them.

Yeah, Tribal Quests are great for helping Level Jobs.

I wish they'd do a back-port and update the ARR/HW/SB tribe quests to give the same TNL% for their level ranges that the ShB/EW ones do for 70-90.

Before the Arkasodara tribe quests came out, I was leveling some of my jobs by way of the ShB Fairy quests and EW hunt marks (and sometimes ShB hunt marks). The exp was well worth it for the EW marks and ShB tribe quest. The ShB hunt marks were only worth it in the early 80s:

    - 1M exp for doing all 15 ShB marks at 80+
    - 1M exp for doing all 3 ShB Fairy quests at 80+
    - ~33% of a level for doing all 15 EW marks (exp scales a little bit as you level)

At level 80, that's about a level per day from just those
At level 89, it is about 50% of a level per day

I'd work on those in-between roulette and highest-level dungeon queues - or if I didn't have time to queue, I knew I was gaining anywhere from 50-100% of a level daily in case I didn't have time to do a dungeon. The time investment for the hunt marks isn't so bad once you can fly in those zones. I haven't done this in months, but I think it was maybe 30-35 min to do all the marks/quests mentioned.

Don't forget wondrous tails. I think that's worth about 50% of a level or so. That's handy at 89 where some of the options I mentioned earlier don't scale with your level.
