Issues with XBOX Elite Series 2 Controller

Hello! I recently purchased an XBOX Elite Series 2 Controller, however FFXIV will not detect the controller at all, regardless of it being in wired or wireless mode. I read an older thread about the issue being with the newer controller firmware, however I also tried a wireless adapter, but that did not solve my issue. The only way I can currently use my controller is via Steam controller settings, but that severely limits what I can do with the controller. Any ideas of what I can do to get FFXIV to natively detect my controller?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting a controller. Have you tried a clean uninstall of the drivers (if there are any) and reinstalling them from scratch? Additionally, is there any difference when you plug the controller into a different port in the PC?

Unfortunately, plugging the devices into other ports does not work. I was able to get the controller working while wired, however FFXIV will not detect the controller at all when wireless, and this is both using Bluetooth as well as the official Microsoft Adapter. Steam will give me a notification saying it has detected the controller, but FFXIV will say "No device located".

An interesting discovery:

I found out recently that sometimes, when playing a game that works normally with my wireless controller (in this case, Dying Light 2), if I were to close that game and immediately open FFXIV, my wireless controller will work normally, even when I am tabbed out. When opening FFXIV first, my wireless controller still does not function as it should.
