    There should be a way to have multiple melds per set

    Ok I'm going to try to keep this simple in hopes a Dev might see this and think about it. I think every armor piece in the game that can meld, you should be able to meld differently per gearset. The reason for this is simple, most jobs that can share gear often do not want to run the Spell Speed/Skill Speed, like DRK and GNB. I prefer to run 2.5 on DRK because its more comfy to run the double weaves on a slower GCD while GNB runs better at a 2.42 SKS for the 9 GCD No Mercy. This change would allow people to run multiple jobs that share gear optimally and not feel like their sacrificing their chosen jobs performance.

    To keep this system fair it should be tied to saved gearsets, and to make sure you don't accidentally lose Materia all there needs to be is a warning before you update or delete that gear set. This would do a couple things, it would help make Materia prices go up slightly, which is beneficial for the Hunt and Roulette runners that are trying to make money selling Materia. It would also bolster play for specific jobs in the savage/ultimate fights because if someone knows that their melded for 2.5 GCD DRK or Warrior, they might not want to play GNB and PLD due to them not having the right melds.

    To make it more fair for people that would rather run on Meld set per role you should be able to meld the base gear and it would be shared across new gear sets, but if you enable separate melds on that gear set list all pieces of that armor would lost the base melds you put on it for that gear set.

    I'm open to tweaks to the idea too, I just think this would help with the FFXIV experience of playing any job you want without feeling like you could be doing more. In affect all this would do is make the mid-high end raid seen feel better.
