Please let me use my house on alts

Despite the option to play each and every single class on one character, many of us do have alt characters for a variety of reasons (Raiding, Roleplaying, trying different races)

So I would really love to be able to use my house on all my characters which are located on the same server. It can be quite disappointing to see how alt unfriendly this game really is. But with how limited housing already is, it should be an option to use your house on all your characters... at least those from that server (I guess it would be really hard to implement if you have characters on different DCs or even servers)

Yes please. It seriously beggars belief that we can't allow our RP characters to share, decorate, use, enjoy the house we spend so much time getting.

We only get one on a server, they should be account wide.

Was about to make this thread myself.

I can't own a home on my alt because the purchase stipulation of; "You do not have a character on the same service account that purchased and maintains a plot on the same World."

If that's the case, allow alt's to be attached to that plot or get rid of this limitation. Better yet, just make instanced housing already, instead of a weak island system and maybe we'll be getting somewhere, but I digress.

They were looking into it... a while back, though I wish they would continue looking into it. I usually leave my house/fc room locked for a myriad of reasons, but I'd enjoy being able to access them on my alts and being able to control who can or cannot access my rooms. Even just adding a toggle for your friends list for temporary access while your main is offline would be a great change.

Medley helps me by collecting materials for my daily company hand ins and right now she has to leave them in a specific little corner of our guild storage for me to pick them up again.

I mean right now a house of our own is way beyond our means but if we can only ever have one anyway then it would be nice if we could all choose where to put things, help with the gardening and share a storage trunk or two as well.

If it is sharing with your sisters, it is a non issue. Form an FC and you will be able to all use the FC chest. You start with one tab and by the time your FC is level 15, you have 5 tabs to store items.

Also, there are new houses coming in January. That gives you enough time to get the gils for a small to be ready to bid in January. Form an FC now to be able to bid. Smalls start at 3M but you also need a building permit which is 450k. You can pool your gils if needed.

Would be a good way.. they could in same instance remove the grandfathering as well as people owning multiple houses/FC houses that way as well.

Pretty frustrating even teleporting to the house location. What I've done is have my alt purchase an apartment in the same ward so they can at least tele to it and then quickly use a ward teleport close to the house. It's just mind boggling when you get there that you can't use the house in anyway.

Really I don't get it and the RMT argument is pretty stale given RMT has no problem functioning they use FC''s and not privates.

Making and buying a FC is about the only way to share a house atm and their letting us do that with privates appears to not be in the works ever.

That's smart about buying an apartment in the same ward as your house- it's sad that we can't just share the house :/
It's bittersweet in a way too

Yoshi-P was also looking into expanding apartments in some fashion back in storm blood...
but noone has followed up with it or maybe they just dodge any question that he's only ever said "we're looking into it"
