Can't complete the Anima Weapon questline due to outdated stats

so, years ago i started the Heavensward relic questline for paladin, to get Aettir Lux and Priwen Lux. today i finally completed the last steps and went to receive my two relics.

however, after turning in the final item--archaic enchanted ink--and after the cutscene played where my character is holding up the weapons, i get an error-message;

"'Best Friends Forever' complete!"
"The anima spirit has gained unyelding resolve, the weapon it inhabits now the pinnacle of martial perfection."
"You obtain 518 gil"
"You obtain Aettir Lux"
"You obtain Priwen Lux"

followed by:

"System changes require a redistribution of attribute points allocated to your weapon."

i looked up what that meant and went to Ulan in Idyllshire to re-allocate my points (apparantly the stat-squish in Endwalker caused this problem). Ulan tells me to equip the Sword and Shield of the Twin Thegns in order to re-allocate the points. the problem is that i have turned in those two relics in order to get the Aettir and Priwen i'm now currently in possession of...

so, i can't get the final version of the relic because they have outdated stats on them, and i can't re-allocate the stats because i no longer have the previous weapons.

do i have to abandon the quest? if so, do i have to start from the very beginning, re-doing every single step again?

i went to the Calamity Salvager to see if i could get the Sword and Shield of the Twin Thegns back from there, but no. Can GMs restore items, maybe that could work?

if anyone has run into this problem, please let me know what you did to resolve it!

Have you tried equipping Aettir and Priwen when speaking to her?

I'd suggest submitting a bug report if that doesn't work.

oh my goodness i am an idiot! i genuinely thought i had already tried that, but nope! haha thank you so much for that advice, now i have my shiny Aettir & Priwen Lux!
