Thread: What does it take to unlock the GC Officer's Gear?

I want these boots really badly, but I'm not sure what it takes to get promoted to an officer (I'm currently Chief Flame Sergeant). I've talked to the usual NPC, but he doesn't give me any options for a promotion, just a single line of text. So does anyone know what it takes to unlock the next promotion? Do I need a certain number of seals before I talk to the NPC? is there some quest I need to complete? Any info would be awesome!

Think we have to wait until next patch, I really like the new officers gear as well.

Actually, if you look at the patch notes you will realize that the officer's gear you mention is not included in the "included items" list, which they do mention when they add new GC gear (see the 1.22 notes mentioning the new GC items).
So, those items you mention are technically in the game data but they are not yet implemented and acquireable yet.
