    Macros in 2.0

Hey all. I was looking through the "Coming in Version 2.0!" thread when I realized not a lot was talked about in terms of macros. The only thing I could find was a confirmation that each individual class could have their own specific macros, and there will be cross-class macros.

What I am wondering is what are some specific changes going to be? I would like to see and expansion of the number of lines the players are able to use. And example would be being able to switch out a set of gear in just one macro, rather than two.

Currently there are too few macros lines and too many slots to equip things too for it all to fit into one macro.

Will there be a more robust list of slash commands or target settings that can be used?

What would you guys like to see changed in macros in 2.0?

Would definitely like to see more macro space. <3333 I love me some macros. D:
FFXI was great with 20 rows. Perhaps that's a bit more than we need in XIV right now, but more than we have now would be nice.

I would like to see the number of lines increased for gear swap macros, but I honestly think the number of macro slots that we have now is plenty.

I'd really, really, REALLY like a bit more customizeable macros, actually, i'd really want an if statement there but i'm sure i'm never getting it :<
However, with the incoming of different macros for each class it might end up better-

Also, for you guys mentioning gearchange macros, remember they do plan on implementing the 'mannequin' system which is, essentially, a built-in gear change macro. So that you change your entire gearset at the same time when changing classes.

The mannequin system is fine if you play one class one way, but my fav job is WAR, and I like to use completely different gear for DD than when I'm tanking. I have different sets for BLM too depending on whether I want to do fire or lightning damage primarily.

If the number of lines was increased then I'd agree with you.
I don't really like having to have 2 macros per job/class just to equip my gear.
More lines would fix that up perfectly.

Edit: I'd also like more macro icons!! Specifically for the crafting a gathering jobs.. So I can just glance at it briefly and know what it is from the icon.

Edit again: And icons of the job symbols too!

I would like XI's old system back since it's great if you're actually one of those people who enjoy playing multiple jobs, but with a lack of gearswap during battle (since enmity and active mode prevents you from swapping gear basically) macros technically are fine as is since they handle pretty much everything unless you're also the type that tend to macro thins you don't even need to macro e.g your basic attack (Barcher) lol.

Honestly, once we get a better User Interface, macros won't really be as important as they are now. I only use them for gear equipping, because the menu is so slow.

I don't use any macros for skills, because it takes me just as long to select the skill from the menu bar.

I think the number of lines should be doubled, we need at least 7 more slots for jewelry, throwing weapons, and ranged ammo.

I thought gearswapping would be included in the system in another way?
