Physical/regional servers FINALLY confirmed ??! (Y)

The thing is alot of people say "give us regional servers" and alot agree, it takes awhile to get people to say to make them optional, I am just saying, if SE did force us onto regional servers I know alot would quit and the majority seem to think its regional or gtfo.

I have nothing wrong with making it optional, I just don't want SE to force us, also what if someone makes a character on a European server, then moves to America, and lets say (because there has been no set in stone confirmation) there are no server transfers, to play with people you would have to reroll which is a bad thing.

I feel pretty confident that v2 will eventually get server transfers. Every other MMO has that, even FF11. The chance of not getting server transfers is so minimal that it's not really worth mentioning.

Many people are experiencing latency due to end-user hardware issues. Try turning all of the settings to low and see if your latency problems improve. If not, then it is the server I assume.

The vast majority are experiencing latency due to network latency, simply because of the fact that there is a limit to how fast signals can travel across the globe. FF14 can't break the laws of physics any more than any other game. If you don't live in asia, you are network having lag. It is impossible not to have. How much you personally care about lag and how annoyed you get by it can of course vary from person to person.
