At the following time, we will be performing maintenance on the Square Enix Account Management System. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV and other related services will be unavailable. Please see below for a list of unavailable services and its time frames.

* Maintenance completion time may be subject to change.

From 14:00 to 00:00 (PDT)
- FINAL FANTASY XIV will be unavailable.

From 15:00 to 23:15 (PDT)
- Players will not be able to log into the FINAL FANTASY XIV Lodestone site.
* The Information, Topics, Play Guide, and other sections of the site will remain available as usual.
- Players will not be able to log into the FINAL FANTASY XIV Forum.
* Players who are already logged in will be able use the forums as normal.

What do you guys think it's for since it's the ENTIRE afternoon Wednesday. New website? I hope so. I mean since I'm actually off work Wednesday afternoon and can't play XIV >.> They need to put some different times for maintenance then always NA times. ;-;

its ALWAYS long when they do that, doesnt really mean they are adding something for us

Actually those already logged in wont be interrupted, so if they are changing the web site it probably wouldnt affect the forum. I have wednesdays off work too... i know how you feel..

It's the perfect time to do it, though. Though POL and XI will also be down too.

They can't open a website without the game being down?

It's system maintenance (backend), so it's a good opportunity to throw the site up while they're doing whatever it is they are with the backend system, which includes their webserver.

The game being down is due to the login system (SE account) being down.
