Ul'dah in a jungle. WTF lol
Glad they mentioned storyline. If it is not fixed this game will not succeed as a Final Fantasy. They've been doing decent last few patches with GC quests though.

SE: "Tired of lag from everyone being in Ul'dah? No moar easiest to navigate city for you, hah!"
This part of the interview confuses me because it is possible to level solo without using levees:
The guildleve system, for example, will still be a part of the game, but it won't work in the way it currently does. The system will change significantly, and it will no longer be the only option for solo leveling, as the game is also adding a much larger quantity of quests akin to a more traditional MMO experience.

Thanalan is supposed to be split into several different areas, as you know. I doubt that the city of Ul'dah itself will be surrounded by jungle, but I wouldn't doubt that one of the several areas in Thanalan will be jungle. Namely one closest to the shroud.
I love sandstorms in Thanalan and hope they will still have a desert type climate some place to go to.

If a jungle even touches Ul'dah, I'm going to seriously demand being allowed to switch allegiance. I enjoy Ul'dah because it's supposed to be a desert city; it's bad enough that it's surrounded by a savannah and is anything but a desert city.
It came out wrong.

You're all misreading the interview. Yoshida is saying that areas will NOT become drastically unrecognizable, such that Ul'dah will not become a jungle. The author has an odd way of wording it but that's what is intended. Ul'dah is still going to be a desert.
