Hopefully they involve satisfaction rather than a bajillion bonus exp or a one time gift of exp at the end of a leve.

Wonder how they'll do the split of quests for classes. Well...unless they go with the contact method for CoH or something along those lines.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

Glad to hear they decentralising the levelling process from guildleves, I wish they would remove them completely and just have repeatable quest given out at quest hubs/villages.

Sometimes I'm glad that wishes don't always come true.

    ... But.
Isn't that the very SAME thing as leves, though?
Unless you're merely asking for unlimited leves per day.

Its the same thing without all the bullshit associated with it, no desk etc.

Just look at other MMO's with repeatable quests, it also provides that sense of a living world, with NPCs and players interacting at camp sites and hamlets.

From what I have read they plan to do this anyway, I just wish they would go the extra step and remove guildleves completely.

Someone would make one of those nonsense claims that the game wouldnt be Final Fantasy without leves or something.

Personally, I would meet you halfway and put leve desks in all camps. And add daily quests on top of that. Cap everything at 20 (you can do a combination of 20 leves and dailies per real life day). Leves could be counted towards that evaluation thing, while dailies could be for rep/fame with a camp or nearby hamlet while both would still be a source of income if you're not into crafting and gathering (like me).

Well at this point, might as well remove the leves and daily quests, and just add quests like in WoW, Rift, Tera, period. Each little town is their own quest hubs. And then as you near the level limit of that area, the quest story archs into a mini-climax quest. Then the NPC offers you another quest that leads you to the next area.

This way, we'll always know where to go next to level. And everytime I logon, there's a quest that I can do.

I actually think Guild Leves make more sense than the random NPC's you find in town in other MMO's that want you to kill x mobs.
