Ah, many thanks.
Ah, many thanks.
This is cool, but I don't think many Western players use the party recruitment menu, definitely less than use the search function for sure.Greetings!
In patch 1.22c we will be adding the below to the list of objectives for party member search:
- Primal battles
- Beastmen stronghold attacks
- Hamlet Defense
- Caravan Defense
- NM
- Leveling
- Behest
- Rallying
(Please note the English category names are not yet finalized.)
Hurray!
Is the dev team still considering the addition of a visable LFP icon or not also ?

Great news. More categories to help players differentiate and seek specific content is always a good thing. And these categories really cover the most important / useful categories most players are interested in.
Thanks~
Every time I see parties in the search function I only see JP players who use it. Every time I go to join one of their Primal fights I get ousted or see at the end of the party comment "JP Only." No English speaking players use this ever and its a shame.
yeah these days getting more and more JP ONLY at our server, but i still manage to get into some pt. EN player never use it they used to 'invite method' which i really dunno why. Till now when im forming party, SO MANY asking to invite and refuse join via party search, i wont invite him either. Even im shout in auto-translation, JP always join via it, but EN meh
That's nice. Can we search for people by name?
Put them on your social list if you need to see if someone is on.
If Rallying is something that lots of players already do then V2.0 should have an option for a party leader to disband his party with this in mind.
List it as "Disband and Rally" or something and have it so all party members can just click an icon when they're done and they'll be added back to the party.
Its not a deal breaker but it would be a very nice ease of use feature to have.
I wish I could just do
Search -> Quest -> [quest name] -> looking for members .
Once 'a few' people have the same quest you get a message telling you that you're not the only one, or you get an auto invite. lol
Of course it would need more parameters like lvl range or jobs (and more than one quest slot!!), but I always dreamed about something like this since XI.
Why do I have to shout for hours in Ul'dah? That's NOT fun! Even the current search function is better than that.
I hate to say this, but the current community isstu... not smart. No, really.
No offence.
This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You don't use it, because you think nobody else will, too. Of course it's never going to work, if you keep this mindset.
I really hope, that SE puts waaaay more effort into tutorial quests (not just one) that teach you from the very beginning. At lvl 50 people are waaaay too stubborn to learn something new.
I think Warhammer Online did this right by forcing you into an 'LS' at a certain point of the game, so you know what it is like. Maybe SE can do something similar with party search? This is an MMO after all.
I so can't wait for Content Finder~
I'd rather party with 'random strangers' than shout for more than 2 minutes in Ul'dah.
I have enough from that from XI to last the next three MMOs. lol
i agree, shouting to form parties is a little archaic. I think it should still be an option, but for random partying content finder will be much more efficient. you won't have to worry about asking someone if they have the appropriate jobs etc.
And of course we'll always have the option to party with our close friends and LS mates, so really, I can't wait for the content finder.
