Project Rapture demo was eventually reused to directly influence Crystarium and elements of the 1.0 trailer adventurer's guild was reused there as well with the same Roegadyn, but it's very apparent that both were older versions of Limsa Lominsa, especially if you look at the concept artwork for Limsa as what it should look like rather than the stripped-down MMO version.
Like Project Rapture's city, Limsa Lominsa is a seaside city that sits atop giant rocky pillars with buildings that have spires linked to other elements with ropes and the fact that the demo led to FFXIV and we had a much more medieval version of that same type of thing is more than a coincidence.
As for the adventurer's guild, I thought I remember an interview where it was said that the original intention of the aetheryte was to be in each of them, but they couldn't do it for some reason.
