I know this has been discussed many times, but the MSQ between levels 20-44 are really bad and need rework. (Spoilers ahead)
ARR MSQ is pretty epic and fun at the beginning (<level 20) and the end (45-50), but everything in between is just really poor quality. The arcs leading to Titan and Garuda are basically a series of non-sensical fetch side-quests that have you run around Eorzea, without almost any cutscenes/voice acting or real direction. They are really frustrating, and two years ago I quit FFXIV after finishing the Titan questline because of how terrible it was (glad I came back, because the story really gets better after lvl 45).
In the sylph arc, it is acknowledged that Prixio is missing and you need to find him, but instead you do some random fetch quests for a bartender. Totally killed the mood.
In the Titan arc, it is acknowledged that the primal awoke, but instead you start preparing for a random banquet, and run around to get wine and cheese... Yes, it's explained why you do this, but it's still awful and basically filler. The fight with Titan was completely anti-climactic and a let-down, because you literally just teleport to the final boss after some random side-quests.
Then the game gets very serious in the Garuda arc after slaying Titan, and instead of trying to save your comrades... you go on another fetch-type questline for 12 levels. I actually liked the quests in Coertas but it really killed the mood of wanting to save your friends who were abducted, tortured, and experimented on... for 12 levels.
The game gets much better after slaying Garuda, but it requires commitment to get there... Why don't they just rework these early questlines to make them more interesting? Like me, I am sure that other players quit the game just because of how bad these quests are. There are like tens of threads on the Titan arc alone and how bad it is. I saw this is already "reworked" but it's still too random and immersion-breaking.
