TIL there are no consequences for your words toward other people if you're online. People cannot get hurt or excluded from words. Meaning I can legit go into the Show Your Miqo'te threads and start calling everyone a prostitute even if I don't believe in it. That the TOS clauses that prohibit discriminatory expressions, expressions that cause emotional distress, obscene or indecent expressions and communication-based conflicts either do not exist or are utterly moot.

That if you have any preference for a race in FF14, it 100% validates my opinion of you based on my very poor and moronic understanding of a group of people. Just because that group exists and the race happens to be appealing to said group, I can very much start throwing whatever the hell I want at those people in an unfiltered and uninformed manner.

Remember guys, it's fine to call people really nasty crap because it's an online platform. Not only do you have any consequence, the fault is on your target for listening to you and thinking you're wrong!

After all, racism doesn't exist, it's just a fantasy game, you get to say whatever you want.

That, and being told that character models of X race look the same = being told that playing X race makes you a pedophile. And if you disagree or take issue with it, it means the hat fits and that the person might actually be one!
