Yes, you're right in that people can block someone if they don't want to see what they're saying, but people shouldn't be treating someone like they want to have sex with animals or children (lalafel players, in this case) based on their race to begin with. It can happen in game, it can happen in discord, etc, and those conversations can be very frustrating or hurtful. "They're just words" you say, but if it's not random strangers on the internet saying it, they can actually be very hurtful. And even if it's random strangers saying it, it can be frustrating or wearying.
