So, how do you change the infrastructure for this game while keeping those people happy? They like the system as-is. Maybe they like being in a dead DC. This is likely why Square Enix won't do any upgrades because people just like everything they're currently doing. The fanbase of this game is very easy to please, Square can throw anything at them, and they'll like it no matter what it is. It's hard to incentivize drastic and costly changes when everyone basically likes everything no matter what it is.
