This actually sounds like a pretty decent solution. More upvotes for this please!
So I've actually been thinking about this.
Given that the new EU worlds, Materia and Dynamis DCs are extremely low pop and sparse, instead of adding new worlds and a new EU DC to make things worse, how about the below as an alternative?
For NA, select a high pop world from each of the existing DCs (eg. Aether - Gilgamesh, Primal - Leviathan, Crystal - Mateus) and regroup them together with Dynamis. That way, this would result in a 7/7/7/7 even split and help populate Dynamis, the existing DC will also be less stressed from a major event such as last year's Endwalker release that have massive queues.
For EU, scrap the new EU DC. There's seriously no need for one given how sparse the 4 new EU worlds are and adding one would just result in a DC deader than Materia even.
For Materia, add cross DC travel to either NA or EU. Preferably NA as the locations are nearer and the ping would be less severe.
Any thoughts?
They did this already and it was just a bandaid. Balmung and Mateus used to be on Aether and they moved them and several other servers to Crystal. And well, Crystal is completely locked to new characters now. Aether also dealt with being locked to character creation for months. Probably the easiest solution would be to just lock Aether/Primal/Crystal for a bit to funnel new players to Dynamis. So I've actually been thinking about this.

"Sell off the empty warehouses during recession, we will never need them ever again."
We're already planning to get 4 more servers in Dynamis so I doubt they'd strap other servers on and mess up their 8:8:8:8 plan.So I've actually been thinking about this.

Materia needs cross-DC but that's a whole other beast to deal with considering JP hates the idea of cross-DC and even cross-world while EU doesn't want cross-DC with NA. If they were ever going to put in cross-DC it would require every region being okay with it existing and open to everyone.
Seriously all we need is cross dc queuing. DC travel has already eroded server identity. It's why on Manduin I still can't hope to escape ads from someone from Crystal directing me to their ERP Cafe or whatever the hell they do. With cross dc queuing servers would dissappear and honestly thats clearly the direction the developer's want. You have your home server sure, but the whole region becomes your playerbase.
Now in saying this there is absolutely a down side and unfortunately I don't think not doing this is going to stop it from happening. That downside obviously is the complete loss of server identity.
Now I've played Wow on one of these "mega" servers and I can tell you they were terrible experiences, but here I don't see this straightening it self out unlss FFXIV has some resurgence of players again. It's not impossible, but unless when it happens SE shuts down the other 3 servers to new characters it will be a moot point.
I think Dynamis has a the Kmart problem and unless SE can right the ship it will go the way of Kmart.
Why would a new player stay on Dynamis when every other server is a better choice in every conceivable way except maybe houses?
The awnser is they won't. And come the 90 day locks coming off more will leave. That I can guarentee you.

I have said this since the beginning, the new EU DC is a massive mistake, sagittarius and raiden are both completely dead, only phantom and alpha are alive, there's not enough population for a new EU Datacenter, it will be a ghost town and on top of that spread the community even more, I sincerely hope that plan will be cancelled. So I've actually been thinking about this.

It's already past time for this thread to be closed.
Clowns who don't even play on Dynamis trying to dictate what we are supposed to do.
Given the current state of the servers, It wouldn't surprise me if they're planning on forcibly splitting worlds off of Crystal and putting them into Dynamis, maybe one of the large ones and one of the smaller ones.So I've actually been thinking about this.

They probably should, that worked in the past, as much as people may gripe about it. Dynamis can't stay the dead DC where you just dump your alts or show up for easy Bozja duels or houses.
