It was said that Seraph is to be the RP server because of its cute name. I think Halicarnassus was the PvP one?Genuinely asking: have they? Honestly I wanted to wait to see how the communities in each world settle first, like how Balmung is the RP world, Behemoth is the Hroth world etc etc. so I don't end up in one where I don't "fit in". All I know is Seraph seems to be the one everyone went to lol
Mortal Fist
LOL no its not. Hailcarnassus is the least populated one on the DC. Most times queues are pretty atrocious there for any early content and pvp. WHile I don't mind DC traveling, it does make the new DC feel empty as hell.

They were assigned roles by unofficial groups of the community and the upkeep to maintain those roles have fallen short as everyone DC travels back to Aether and Crystal as needed. There currently isn't a need for Seraph to be an RP server when you can visit Balmung. Plus it's just people on standby to make night clubs. (I am not even exaggerating either, shout chat has been vocal about it).
It's been less than a month, what do you expect exactly?
I have my obvious anxieties about the DC becoming a hub and activity never propping up there due to DC travel, but it's way too soon to tell.
This was predicted by so many people. There's simply no reason to stay on dynamis and play the game, when you could go to an established DC and have good queue times. Dynamis won't be good until 7.0 at best, and only then if SE closes the other DCs and basically forces new players to join dynamis. And even then, since DC travel is an option, they might just join dynamis and then hop over to crystal or aether or whatever. No matter how it's implemented, new DCs are just screwed in this game. Materia is an island, so people paid to transfer off. Dynamis is connected, so people use DC travel to get away from it and go where the people are. Maybe something else has to change before more DCs get created, because everyone I know who went to dynamis just did it for a house and then immediately hopped back to crystal; none of them were in it to build a community, which sucks for the people who join it unwittingly.
Apparently paying 12.99 for subscription is enough for you to feel entitled to state-of-the-art military grade technology and expect SE to break the laws of physics for you.
Can you tell me what drugs you're onto? WoW's done similar stuff for several years and they're by no means using military grade technology.

It sounds more like you're the one partaking a little much if you expect them to have cross DC queues ready to go after travel only launched this year. They've been testing it out, but it'll likely be a while before they decide to launch that feature.
I guess that depends on what you mean by similar stuff.

OCE is still connected to NA because the OCE logical data center was originally hosted at the LA physical data center before the OCE physical data center was added. Blizzard moved the entire logical data center so it was composed of realms that already had mostly healthy populations.Blizzard Global Play allows you to connect to game servers in regions outside your own, making it easy to play with your friends in other parts of the world. Global Play is available for all our games except for World of Warcraft.
If OCE was treated as a separate region by Blizzard like SE does instead of it being considered part of NA, OCE and NA players wouldn't be able to play together there, either, just as NA players can't play with EU players unless they purchase a separate EU game license or Asia unless they purchase a separate Asia license.
At least with FFXIV, it's a single game license regardless of whether you want to play on JP, OCE, EU or NA. Only CN/KR remain completely separated.
I said similar, not world queues, which would meant playing with people in OCE and JP for example. WoW allows you to join groups from all kind of servers within NA/OCE, at least 50 different ones.I guess that depends on what you mean by similar stuff.
