Why Is Dynamis Dead

Going to reiterate this. Dynamis is two and a half months old. You lot need to stop acting like the DC not being totally full at launch means it's a dead DC.

Guess what? High-end content is also dead on Crystal. Everyone transfers. How many years more do we need to wait for Crystal to catch up? Is FFXIV going to be alive when Dynamis catches up? And, as you would gladly agree, we’re in a drought. We’re not supposed to play the game right now. We’re supposed to be playing other stuff. Right? So why the new DC? Oh, 7.0. To be released in two years? I’m sure Dynamis will be full by then. Which means…why do we have it, exactly?

Defending a multi-billion dollar company will never give you the reward you think it will. It’s your money. You’re paying for a product. As of right now, Dynamis players cannot queue for some kinds of content unless they disconnect from almost all social features. A multiplayer game without friends or a guild isn’t the best experience.

Despite Yoshida’s immense superhuman intelligence, I’m sure there’s some way to remedy this—as literally every single other MMO released in the past 20 years has done.

It is dead though. MSQ dungeon with an hour queue is pretty much dead.

The issue is it's dead now and no one wants to play on it. You can play the what if / waiting game but people are doing this:

I moved to dynamis for the house. Data center hop back to aether for insta-ques.

And won't stay on their server for it to flourish. I see more Seraph and Manduin folks on Balmung than more own people.
So yeah, dead DC is dead because you're piggy back riding on us.

I love it when people speak for others when they're not even part of the group lol. I can get my weekly raid done and daily roulettes, don't need to DC hop.

Also it's literally Balmung, weird to be shocked about other servers visiting there considering its reputation. There are more visitors on Balmung than actual Balmung residents a good chunk of the time.

It's no secret that people moved to Dynamis for housing but at the same time you can still get stuff done if you let go of the need for two second queues in every piece of content you do. It's actually nice to queue for something and be able to work on other stuff in between. Even still, going as role in need gets me insta queues quite often.

I mean I ain't got this problem because I'm from Balmung. The issue is your folks are coming to everyone elses
server/center because it's low in pop. Why? Because:
1. They are coming over here acting like they live here and won't go back home. (The DC travel is annoying imho because it takes too long at times.)
2. They are coming over here because there isn't a population.
Which brings us back to 1. Tell your folks to stay or come back home sometimes mate.

Why would they use data center travel for MSQ when it's the same on every world? I know very few players that do the MSQ in a group with friends unless they're all dialog and cutscene skipping (and I would imagine few of those players went to Dynamis).

More and more players are taking advantage of Duty Support to learn mechanics before they do them with other players in Duty Finder, or because they like doing them for the first time with the NPCs to get the comments.

Besides, by the time 7.0 arrives Dynamis will have a much larger population at end game.

I think you're exaggerating the situation on Dynamis right now, and I know you're exaggerating what it will be by the time 7.0 arrives. But if you're that unhappy on Dynamis, you'll be able to transfer back to your old home world in February. Depending on what demand there was on your old home world, you may even be able to get a house there this time.

maybe but my take is that the whole DC will be dead in 6 months if not less. Once people can leave, they will. That brings up another point, why the hell can;t we sell our houses like anything else on the MB? It would solve mutliple problems like have to cough up more hardware in order to priovide additional wards. I wouldn't doubt that there is a large percentage of users who would love to get out of their houses, I'm one. WTF is there to do there? I walk around many residential wards and never see a single soul. I get the FC houses, but other than decorating or having a garden, what's the point?

I think you're exaggerating the situation on Dynamis right now, and I know you're exaggerating what it will be by the time 7.0 arrives. sorry, never had a house. Now that I do, it's a waste. And yes, I am unaware of new worlds since I've been on Crystal since the beginning and moving between worlds on the same DC isn't quite the same now, is it? So relax, sorry to have upset you.

I am on Marilith and honestly I am enjoying it. Yes it is a bit slower but I like things like that. Waiting a bit longer for a queue to pop doesn't bother me. I just take care of other things that need doing while I am waiting. Being a solo player I don't really miss the social side of things. This works for me and how I play the game.

I am firmly in the camp of things will improve with time and come 7.0 will likely take a big jump as people deal with log in queues for a new expansion.
