The joke is that the Ancients, especially the Ascians, are exactly bad enough to do that stuff, and literally are named after Greek gods.
Granted, they usually aimed bigger than 'making one specific person miserable'. And we haven't found an Apollo yet.
Well I figured that was aimed at the Ascians and not at the twelve. I think the only thing close to the Twelve being complete dicks is the whole Gods fighting amongst themselves myth that caused the moogles to flee the relm of the gods. That is if it was the twelve and not something that happened during the first calamity.
I always understood that the "gods" the moogle served were dragons, especially the first brood would look like gods to the weak moogles, that and the moogles from the churning mists still kinda serve the dragonsWell I figured that was aimed at the Ascians and not at the twelve. That could of course mean that Azem can predict the future (strange how we cant though) but until the whole raid is over I would not say that this confirms it. It could very well be that at the end it was another crystal that tipped them off.
Since we don't know how long ago the Moogles left Moghome (if that is, indeed, their point of origin) for the Black Shroud below, I believe that had a lot more to do with a certain Allagan research facility launched into the heavens. There is a set of containment bays where the "gods" may have been subdued 5000 years ago.
Yet both Churning Mists and Black Shroud Moogles share the same myth. That their great King basically sacrificed themselves by lowering a long rope for the others to climb down. This after a supposed spilled cup of wine turned into an all out war amongst the gods. The only moogles that this doesn't seem to apply to are the Dalmascan ones. Not that we know much about them. Just that they don't share naming convention similarities as those two groups. That they're more so just a nod to some of the more memorable named moogles from FFT and XII. Heck all other moogles we've met since share in the naming convention even if the first letter isn't an M or a K. As I want to say the one we met in a more recent Valentione event had a name starting with a P.Since we don't know how long ago the Moogles left Moghome (if that is, indeed, their point of origin) for the Black Shroud below, I believe that had a lot more to do with a certain Allagan research facility launched into the heavens.
