This game bombed miserably and was universally panned and I'm the troll. I didn't realize people were still burying their heads in the sand.
Edit: anyway I was hoping a dev would read this because these were the reasons why FFXIV got such a low score. I expected an FF MMO with more involvement, not a sterile lifeless game turned into FFXI.

It sounds like you think this version (1.22c) is what will become 2.0. That is not the case. 2.0 is pre-alpha and has only been seen by some press & fan site reps at E3.
Today's FFXIV still suffers from a lot of the bad design decisions that SE couldn't incrementally improve upon (large, featureless zones; inefficient server data exchange; laggy UI; etc.). It's why most people I've heard are telling people to wait until 2.0's release before judging the future of this game.

So obviously you don't read the Dev updates, because there have been many posts regarding new UI features and changes coming in 2.0.
O.o ...I'm sorry, have you actually played any of those games? To say they have shown that MMORPG's don't have to be about grinding is a completely ridiculous statement.
You're not a troll because this game failed horribly at launch. No one has said that so quit being ridiculous. You are a troll because you created thread about what you feel is wrong with this game and 2.0 without doing any research about the state of the game in its current version and what is to come with version 2.0.
Next time you feel like making one of these threads, please do us all a favour a do a little research before you start writing.
