Introduction of a negative commendation button

It’s pointless. Many people don’t bother to give comms, healers get a disproportionate amount of them in comparison to other jobs, you can have a perfect run and don’t get any comms but if someone liked your plate, you get one...and now you would want to add negative comms? It would just add toxicity and it would totally be abused.

Ya, that totally wouldn't be abused at all.

As I mentioned, some people may abuse it. You can't get around that. However, nobody is going to abuse it to the point where you drop under 70%. The number is a very low bar to reach. Unless you are actively farming negative commendations, you would quickly recover.

People already give commendations for dumb stuff like a meme name or a catgirl in the 2B pants. They also often don't give commendations at all even if someone deserves them. It shouldn't serve a functional purpose.

I'd also like the ability to commend someone who's left already. So many people leave instantly and I just have to say "oh well guess you can't complain about not being a mentor yet".

Lol, what could possibly go wrong with that? Such a system would need to be for everyone and even the obvious griefing aside, you'd have people neg'ing:



- People in their first time in content,
- People learning new jobs,
- People mad that blinds havent read a guide (as a regular blind progger in PF this will happen a lot)
- People unable to carry others through hard content
- People who arent parsing high enough for someones liking


Sometimes I think this board wants XIV to become a toxic hellhole.
