    Any idea when they will switch Faerie away from congested?

    So i want to come back to FF14 after i left (people i was playing with abandoned the game) TO JOIN Faerie where several of my friends play but the server has been listed as congested for awhile now. Is there any idea when it will change back to open again? I read a post somewhere that it is permanently in this state until they decide to reopen it.

    That is correct. Congested status of worlds does not change until usually a major patch update. The next change in general world statuses probably will not happen until Patch 6.3 comes in January 2023.
