The lobby server being up doesn't mean that the game is up. It will be in about three hours and a half

I believe that there was a letter addressing this already. We will see our first bill on PS3 launch.

There is no way they can even begin to start charging for this peice right now...or anytime soon they have had so much bad luck with this game. They can on PS3 launch...but who knows when that will be probably not for another 8 months....if they even thought about charging like 30k people for this i wouldnt pay....none of us would. Oh, really? Sorry I missed that part, well if that so.. then we should also see many more people coming to the game via PS3 console soon too. ^^ Congrat!! SE. I feel like this game will be popular soon unlike what I heard at the start that it sucks.. and people turn their back on this game.

People are counting down to see what else they can have a bash at when it comes back up and brighten their minds up to more arguments for "10001 reasons why FFXIV should be cut". And consider this; if SE did start charging, just how much of their player base will remain for the current state of the game?
