I've been away for five years and have returned. Need help with crafting resources.

Hello there,

I've restarted a week ago and unfortunately none of my C-Bar settings and macros from the PS3 version are irretrievable on my PS5. I am sure I uploaded the settings to the server before the end of PS3 version, but no dice in retrieving them. I had macros that would HQ items for me and honestly having to relearn all is not FUN!!

All my current jobs craft level is 60 with all maxed gear. If someone can point to a post with a macro list or a reliable web resource, very much a appreciated.

You were going to have to relearn everything anyways, the vast majority of crafting actions were removed and replaced by something else

Teamcraft.com is a good resource but its honestly not worth worrying about your macros too much. You'll level fast and change any macros you have frequently; it won't be until 90 that you'll actually get a macro to stick with.

Your macros and hotbars would all be obsolete anyway - so no loss. There are a multitude of ways to level crafting (collectables, tribe quests, firmament, etc). They've removed cross-class abilities for crafters (if you took a break at 60, this might have still been a thing). One of the big changes was they removed Steady Hand I and II. No more coupling Steady Hand with other abilities to get it to a 100% success rate. However, nearly all abilities are a 100% success rate, except for a few that are 50% (Rapid Synthesis and Hasty Touch are good examples).

I helped a friend level their crafter a while ago - if I recall, they wore their level 60 Ironworks gear to 70. Then I made them the level 70 green gear (Onishi set). I put a few melds on there and they wore that all the way to 90. You get 80-90 by spamming the level 81 collectable and you can finish with top quality with maybe 1-2 overmelds. That's just one way to do it. I'm sure there are other ways.

Not crafting-related, but presumably you've come back to play the story and not just to craft, and something that has changed in the past five years is that the Crystal Tower raids are now required for MSQ progress eventually. If you haven't done them yet, you'll hit a roadblock in post-Shadowbringers content, but it's better to have done them before you finish Stormblood at latest.
