To clarify, I said the iLevel 610 gear is worthless if not HQ because if not HQ, it is no better than lower iLevel gear that is much cheaper to buy or easier to make.

This assumes you are looking for stats for higher end fights, rather than, say, iLevel 610 gear to allow you to enter MSQ instances. Crafted HQ iLevel 580 gear may have higher stats, but it won't get you into the Storm's Crown trial.
