Dragoon 7.0 Ideas

These are my ideas for 7.0 Dragoon, based on an interesting dream I had. I hope you like reading them!

Soaring Stance

At level 91, Dragoons obtain an oGCD ability called "Soaring Stance".

All normal combo skills transform into alternative versions that gap-close to the same distance as normal jumps.

Damage output of these skills are not changed with the exception of while Life of the Dragon is active. While Life of the Dragon is active, the Soaring Stance skills gain a significant damage output increase.

Over the different levels from 91 to 100, different skills transform while under Soaring Stance.

Piercing Talon transforms uniquely, and repels the Dragoon from the targeted enemy.

Life Surge becomes Lifeblood Bonds and takes on a new animation/absorbs much more HP. It is meant to represent new kinship with the dragons.

All Jumps get soaring stance color and damage variations while under Life of the Dragon.


The color theme of Soaring Stance is silver("White Hot" as if imbued with the sun itself), so all skills gain a silver color in a fashion from it.


Animation Lock?

Dragoon's Soaring Stance GCD skills do not have significant animation lock and should function regularly, aside from the addition of consistently gap-closing.

Too Strong?

Lore-wise, Dragoon has always been able to chase after their prey relentlessly. I do not believe it would be too strong, as long as the gap-closing/pushback presents considerable risk(running into AoEs, as an example). Dragoon being the most mobile melee would make for an interesting identity.

Make Chaos Thrust's DoT 1 second longer.

Second Elusive Jump charge.
