oh I'm well aware..... on paper it sounds pretty good for everyone to burst every 2 minutes so it's easier to balance... Problem is how much it restricts job design into something formulaic and boring, balancing is finding a good middle ground with jobs that are interesting and play differently from one another, but also making sure jobs are somewhat viable in content is also important.
I think we just need to move away from 2 minutes in general... at least the majority of people i know dislike it, the most balanced approach isn't always the best one. (otherwise jobs would be one button and do the same damage).

I get that. I truly do considering how they blew up SB BRD when it was going quite well without a 2nd Gauge tacked on considering how at high level play BRD is extremely busy.
I’m not a fan of the SAM Rework either; it literally streamlined the job too hard and took what made it fun out of it.
When it comes to PLD, you have to think in light of PLD’s recent shortcomings at the Savage level within the first week. Fight design fought against PLD in particular in P8S because of a reopening phase change that provided a Damage Buff. Considering how hardline PLD’s rotation is, they have difficulty being able to fit their strongest attack(Confiteor) into the buff window.
There is also the fact we have two burst windows, rolling every 60s with about 9-11s inbetween of RA/Atonement Filler, which can force drift with Buffs such as FoF due to having odd seconds left(typically 3s) on the timer before it can be used again. This in turn causes drift on Requiscat usage, drifting every time FoF is clipped by an Atonement due to being at an a certain timer on the GCD.
I believe they want to address this so PLD doesn’t have to be left out in terms of performance, along with (hopefully) changes to Cover and a buff to Intervention.

They screwed up when they made those changes to their core system like that. Revolving around the 2m window made the game worse in the long run; hell, I think even Yoshida said this in some manner.Because I don't like the two minute burst meta and would rather them remove that instead of forcing PLD into it. I've also loved PLD's rotation since I started the game in HW, and enjoyed each iteration of it per expansion with growth and natural evolution adding to its skills and rotation. Seeing my bread and butter be forced to change simply because they screwed up their entire job design philosophy with two minute meta is incredibly disappointing.
I’m not a fan of the 2m Meta because it reduces skill expression when it comes to jobs - it becomes boring for the player to always follow the same burst in the same manner every 2m. However it was better when they were more frequent(see Trick Attack pre-6.15). Having more frequent Mini Bursts made things feel better and it showed how people could try to maximize and show their skill with a job. Now, you can’t do that ever.
At this juncture, we’ll be waiting until 7.0 for them to actually fix their core systems considering the damage is already done.
I like how paladin plays. I don't think it needs a complete overhaul, it just has some issues that need to be addressed.
1. Allow Skill Speed and Spell Speed to affect paladin's physical and magic abilities (or combine both stats, but that might be more of an expansion change).
2. Allow blocks to affect DoTs and work while stunned if Sheltron was used.
3. Adjust the length of the rotation. Right now you either get enough Skill Speed so you can drop an Atonement every minute, or you completely ignore it and drop two Goring Blade combos every three minutes. Giving Resquiscat a sixth charge would help with the no Skill Speed build, but having any Skill Speed would still have its issues.
4. Give paladins another defensive ability. I want to avoid button bloat, however, as paladins are already pretty button heavy. The Clemency example below could work.
5. Remove the heal requirement from Divine Veil.
6. Add a new job gauge that keeps track of Requiscat charges. This just a cosmetic change, it wouldn't affect anything but would make it easier to see how many charges you got left since you won't have to look for a tiny buff icon.
I would also prefer if they don't touch Clemency. It's one of the abilities that has draws me to Paladin as I love having an on demand heal that can be used on others. I've saved quite a number of encounters with it after the healers and ressers all died. If they added a trait that gave paladins a free OCD Clemency every minute, that would be fine, but I still want the skill available when that trait is on cooldown.
Random example: Expiacion grants a stack of Clarity. At 2 stacks Clemency has no cast time, costs no MP, and is off the global cooldown. Max 2 stacks.
If you could provide said post/s, I would be interested to see. So far, from your post history, all I see is opinions (which are written in a way to seem lie a fact) which you yourself claim is something that can be ignored.
What I am expecting is a reason and an explanation to that reasoning, ideally with sound, logical conclusions. Of course, people are going to disagree, counter your points, of which you are then free to counter and so on. You know, how a normal, healthy discussion is supposed to happen.

It's simple, why do they want to rework PLD?
The job works, it's not like DRK Living Dead or Bloodweapon before the stacks.
PLD got all the QoLs on its DPS rotation, it wasn't broken in any way or difficult to use because of the job mechanics, just slightly more complex than WAR/DRK.
PLD problems was its defensives and DPS output, they answered the later with some buffs.
It's to fit in the 2 minutes meta burst
The 2 minutes meta burst is something introduced with EW, all bursts are forced to be sync'd on 2 minutes.
It's much more easier to synchronize with your party this way but most jobs become similar due to this.
This is why everyone is anxious about PLD rework. Because the job isn't getting reworked to fix it, but rather to force it into the meta.
It's not just that it's getting reworked to force it into the meta but that CBU3 has a track record of making the gameplay worse in the process.
I look forward to spamming my 1-2-3 combo on paladin for 45 seconds until the Req window happens and then maybe I also get to press Fight or Flight during every 2 minute window (feel free to switch Req and FoF around depending on which of the 2 gets the 120 seconds cooldown).
You don't need to tell me that, I've seen it happen to Dark Knight, I've seen it happen to WAR and I've seen it happen to GnB.oh I'm well aware..... on paper it sounds pretty good for everyone to burst every 2 minutes so it's easier to balance... GnB being the least offensive one since it still has actual gameplay between bursts but DrK is "spam 1-2-3 for 45 seconds and then spam every oGCD you have" while warrior is "spam 1-2-3, occasionally 1-2-4, for 45 seconds, then press IR and get all your burst for free"

feels like most people are convinced it's not a well Thought-out system the problem is I doubt anything will change until 7.0 (If we're lucky). It's not just that it's getting reworked to force it into the meta but that CBU3 has a track record of making the gameplay worse in the process.

I really enjoy Paladin, I really don't want it similar to every other tank but I guess that's where we're heading.
