Why do I play female characters?

Yeah it's because I'm going to spend hundreds of hours looking at the backside of a character. I'd rather it be female, much nicer to stare at. If anyone were to call me homophobic for that, I'd actually think it would be the other way around. They are the ones who enjoy looking at other manly asses for hours on end, not me.

Why should anyone have a problem with that? Many of the catboys or vieraboys are also played by female players cause well females (some not all) like the well yaoi aesthetic.

So fetishizing a specific gender/sex is something every group is guilty of no matter if male or female or whatever else.

So i would say just play what you like and don't give a kupo about what other people think.

An interesting point occurred to me on this subject - namely, why does anyone even care? How does a male player playing a female character impact on anyone else?

It does seem as if anyone who'd make an issue of this is either a troll or someone actively looking for something to be offended by.

In games like Fallout or Mass Effect I play female, because I can make them more thick and seductive without going overboard/naughty, and with the dialogues it’s fun to play a ruthless female (unlike the cringe Hollyweird produces these days).

In MMOs I just can’t, feels cooler to play a dude. Armors are imo better and females often just get a skimpy version. Less so here but still here and there at times.

I tried to fanta to femroe, thighlander to test a bit but I just feel too attached to my chadlander I started with. He looks just better in cutscenes and more immersive too. I don’t see how a puny midlander or lala would be able to punch or intimidate their opponents when they’d get smacked with one hit.

Joke’s on you, in FFXIV there’s no buttslider and you’re stuck with the totally not skimpy 2B leggings to show it all like 70% of players with female characters. If you don’t your butt is flat as a plank.

And most of the gear has some kind of coat/skirt surrounding the butt, so you won’t even see it in most cases unless you only play with 2B legs.
